The dinner, as usual, was a rousing success. About thirty people attended, and enjoyed the delicious potluck consisting of Texas-style roast brisket (provided by Barbara Lundquist) and a variety of casseroles and desserts (provided by Division members).
After dinner, the Rusty Wiley Platinum Spike Award was given to Claude Lundquist for his years of service to the Division as HO Module Chairman. Congratulations! The Harlow family brought three ovals of track in HO and Z scale, continuing a family (and Division) tradition. Jay ran his Marklin Big Boy, complete with sound and smoke, and a prototypical consist of freight cars. Wendy brought her Burlington Route Z-scale train, and Rachael and Sarah Loke brought their Marklin starter sets. The Division wants to thank Betty Winther and Carol Martincik for organizing this year's dinner, and Barbara Lundquist for spending her Saturday making the brisket and providing valuable support for Betty and Carol. Thank you to all the folks who attended, making it a festive occaision. A huge thank you to the volunteers who serve in various capacities for the Division - we wouldn't exist if it weren't for you! Pictures will be posted soon...
